Taking proper care of your skin is very necessary at this time of high stress and pollution. A regular basic cleaning process has to be followed by cleansing, toning and moisturising every night so that your skin never loses the natural moisture.

There are several beauty products available in the store which one can use or else one can also go for homemade natural beauty products which can be essentially good for your skin. Here are some other things to keep in mind.

If you go too much out in the sun, then a basic tan layer forms on your skin, tomatoes can be of great help to cure that. Take fresh tomato juice, curd or yogurt and a little amount of oatmeal to make a paste. Apply it on your face and leave it for 15 minutes.  Then wash it off with cold water and see the increase of brightness of your skin. This also reduces the scars, spots and other blemishes on your skin. If one can use it one every week they can really feel the difference.

Try to know the skin type you have and always use a sun screen according to that. But do not apply only sun screen before going out in the sun. Try to combine it with an anti-oxidant serum or with a Vitamin C cream as they enhance each other. Apply the sun screen first and then use the serum as a coat on it.

Lemon juice and honey face pack can also be of great help to bring back the lustre of the skin. Here one needs lemon juice, honey and a bit of rose water to make this pack at home. Lemon juice is acidic in nature and so it bleaches the skin properly which also helps one to get rid of skin tans and scars. Take some undiluted lemon juice and then apply it on your clean face. Keep it for 15 minutes and then apply honey over it. Once the honey sits on your face you can mix some rose water in plain water and then wash your face well.

Also what you eat, shows on your face. So one should not consume too much of salty foods and fried foods in summer as they can easily dehydrate your body. One can include water content fruits in their regular diets like cucumber, watermelon and oranges. Also try to add a lot of fresh and green vegetables in the diet system and it is very beneficial not only for the summer but for the entire year. In summers it is a good idea to control your meat intake as it is difficult to digest and is also raises the body temperature.

Remember that, handmade beauty products are mostly made if natural ingredients and so they hardly have any chemicals in them. Regardless to say that they are any day less harsh on skin as compared to chemical products. So, it is a good idea to use them on a regular basis.
